Tri-County Health Department has confirmed a prairie dog colony near the Franktown Historical Grange open space is infected with plague. The confirmation has led to the closing of 1,500 acres of open space and a portion of the Cherry Creek Regional Trail, which runs adjacent to the affected areas.
